First released in 2007, the game is a prequel to the 1997 video game Final Fantasy VII and is a part of the metaseries Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, which includes other products related to the original game. Early concept art for Final Fantasy VII showed it as a 2D game, much like its predecessors, although played from an isometric perspective. Early concept art also shows a number of Final Fantasy VI characters in it, indicating that FFVII may have at one point been intended as a true sequel to FFVI, or that these characters were intended to cameo.

This is a patched version of Final Fantasy VII that contains 2 modifications over the original game: Spirit Bug Fix and Uncapped Damage.
Spirit Bug fix:
this patched version fixes the spirit bug in which the magic def. of the armors doesn't add anything to the character spirit stat, rendering armor M.def useless.
Uncapped Damage:
This fix allows you to do more than 9999 damage, that is IF you can deal more than that which isn't an easy task. How far can you get? Limit is the sky.
